About Durham Hill Farm
While the landscape that the farm sits on was established in the year 1700, the dairy farm that is now Durham Hill Farm was established in 1812. Originally known as Fritzlyn Farms, the indoor and outdoor facilities on the property were used to showcase dairy cows, and the farm was well known for its breeding of prized Guernsey cattle.
Today, Durham Hill Farm sits alongside a commercial horse boarding and riding facility and is a Bucks County historic site. The property has animals on-site, making the farm the perfect, rustic wedding venue of your dreams! Plus, the animals are pretty cute, too.
Elizabeth and Kevin lovingly updated and renovated the property following their own wedding at the farm in 2014 so that more people could experience a wedding at such a beautiful place. Repairs and updates made to the two-story stone barn make it the perfect reception spot. A wedding on the large lawn overlooking the Bucks County fields and hillsides makes for the sunniest, most picture-perfect, outdoor ceremony spot.
The farm’s historic charm makes Durham Hill a special place. The farm is over two centuries old, and the hills it sits on are even older, making this place a unique spot. Despite the farm’s rustic charm, this venue can suit a variety of couples and their aesthetics.
A super important note to make is that Durham Hill Farm does operate under a sound restriction. Out of respect for their neighbors and animals, Durham Hill will communicate with your DJ to keep the volume at an appropriate level. Though Durham Hill is party-friendly, this may not be the venue for you if you’re looking to throw a rager.
Ceremony and Reception Locations at Durham Hill Farm
When you host your wedding at Durham Hill Farm, you’ll have exclusive use of the property for 5 hours, with the option to add an extra hour for longer reception parties. This five-hour rental time begins at the start of the ceremony, so fret not, you and your party can arrive as early as 8 am to get ready and start the day!
The indoor/outdoor venue can host 150 guests between the two-story barn and outdoor space.
The Outdoors at Durham Hill Farm
The barnyard area is where the ceremonies usually take place! A grassy lawn overlooks the horse pastures. Sometimes if you’re lucky a few horses will run around behind your ceremony! With beautiful mismatched wooden chairs and a handcrafted wooden arbor (created from an old Lancaster tobacco barn) you’re set. The grounds adjacent to the ceremony site function as a cocktail hour space, and an outdoors dancing area if you’d like! With string lights over the courtyard area, it makes for a beautiful spot to hang out at night.
The Barn at Durham Hill Farm
The two-story, stone barn dates back to the 1800s, from the farm’s early days as Frtizlyn Farms. The barn’s main level boasts a large reception area with views of the Bucks County countryside, with loads of natural light and plenty of room for dancing and dining. Below on the lower level is a space with a cozy atmosphere for cocktail hour and music.
Behind the barn, the “back barn” room is an alternative, sunny ceremony area that is the perfect alternative for when the weather gets in the way of an outdoor ceremony.
Prep Suite at Durham Hill Farm
Below the back barn is the getting ready suite, complete with dressing rooms, a full private bathroom and shower, a prep area, a kitchenette, and an outdoor courtyard.
Durham Hill Farm does not provide alcohol and asks that your alcohol be served by bartenders that are provided by your caterer. But don’t fret, Durham Hill can provide you with a list of preferred caterers to serve you on your big day. Caterers from their preferred list are experienced with the land and layout of the farm and are accustomed to catering to this unique space. (Note: Durham Hill Farm does not have a kitchen on site.)

Durham Hill Farm is truly a favorite venue with PA residents. The farm’s ability to host a variety of weddings all year long, no matter the weather, makes it a desirable spot.
“Absolutely gorgeous venue, it was the perfect choice for a winter wedding! I’ve looked at countless venues in the Montgomery area and this place really stuck out to me. The venue provided everything we needed and more.” – Angelica Landis
“It rained on our day, but we still wanted the wedding outside. Durham was more than prepared. They squeegeed the benches, placed blankets on each one, and provided umbrellas for every guest. The venue itself is beautiful, and made our day as special as possible.” – Andrew Robinson
Wedding vendors are not short of great things to say about Durham Hill.
“Durham Hill Farm is truly a special place!!! I’m a Bucks county-based wedding videographer and have worked at tons of different venues in the area and I could tell from the very first moment of working at Durham Hill Farm that it was going to be an amazing experience. The owners and staff are all super friendly and genuinely care about everyone’s experience. They want to make sure every person attending an event there, whether guests, clients, or other vendors, is enjoying themselves and has everything they need. Something that really stood out to me is that they’re constantly working on making the venue better by adding amazing new touches to the spaces.” – Ryan Repash

Overall, Durham Hill Farm has my vote for being one of PA’s best wedding venues. You can’t beat the scenery, attention to detail, and service that Durham Hill Farm provides! Kevin and Elizabeth (the owners) if you’re reading this, I’d still love to live in an airstream in your field. I’ll feed the horses for you.
